You have landed. Your bags are with you. The last thing you want is to work out which DLR platform leads to a hotel you have never visited. That is the whole reason London City Airport Taxis exists. We run fixed price, door to door hotel transfers from the terminal to whichever property you are booked into, whether that is a floating yacht hotel on Royal Victoria Dock or a five star suite in Mayfair. Your driver meets you inside arrivals with a name board. Your bags go in the boot. You are moving in minutes.
Book ahead and the journey takes care of itself. We ask for your flight number and your hotel name, then we track the arrival in real time and adjust the pickup if you are early or late. The price is agreed when you book and it does not move. Delays, traffic on the A13, a slow queue at the Blackwall Tunnel, none of it changes what you pay.
Every driver is licensed and vetted, and every one of them knows the practical stuff that maps do not show. Which hotel has a proper drop off bay. Which entrance the porters actually use. Which back route saves fifteen minutes at half five on a Thursday.
The Royal Docks sits right on the airport's doorstep, and the hotel cluster here is the shortest run we do. Most of these transfers take between five and twelve minutes.

If you are exhibiting at ExCeL, tell us when you book. We will time the pickup around stand setup rather than standard check in.
Budget and mid range options here include Travelodge London City Airport, Premier Inn London Docklands (ExCeL), Courtyard by Marriott London City Airport, Custom House Hotel and ibis London Canning Town. Some of these are close enough to walk in theory. With two suitcases and a laptop bag, a five minute taxi is the better call.
Canary Wharf is around fifteen minutes from the terminal in normal traffic, and it is our busiest business route by a distance. We run regular transfers to the London Marriott Hotel Canary Wharf, Hilton London Canary Wharf, Novotel London Canary Wharf, Radisson Blu Hotel London Canary Wharf East, Tribe London Canary Wharf, Lincoln Plaza London Curio Collection by Hilton, Canary Riverside Plaza and Point A Hotel Canary Wharf. Canary Wharf hotel entrances can be genuinely confusing, with underground approaches and restricted access roads. Our drivers know which ones need the estate entrance and which you can pull straight up to.
A quick run through the Blackwall Tunnel puts you on the south side in roughly fifteen to twenty minutes. Popular hotel drops include the InterContinental London The O2, DoubleTree by Hilton London Greenwich, Novotel London Greenwich and The Pilot Greenwich. If you are heading to an event at The O2, we drop as close to the entrance as the traffic management allows on the night. Our drivers judge the tunnel on the day. When it backs up, the Rotherhithe route or the Silvertown crossing often gets you there faster.
The Square Mile sits about twenty five minutes away outside rush hour. We cover The Ned, Leonardo Royal London City, Montcalm Royal London House, citizenM Tower of London, Nobu Hotel Shoreditch and the cluster of properties around Liverpool Street and Old Street. City streets are full of timed restrictions and bus gates. Pre booking a car with a driver who already knows the layout saves you circling the block with a meter running.
Allow forty five minutes to an hour for the West End, longer during the evening peak. Late arrivals often cross town faster, which is one small upside of a delayed flight. We regularly transfer guests to The Savoy, The Langham, Park Plaza Westminster Bridge, Royal Lancaster London, Hilton London Paddington and the Kensington, Mayfair and Victoria hotel districts. Serviced apartments and private stays are treated the same way. Give us the address and the buzzer instructions and the driver will handle the rest.
Stratford is close, usually fifteen to twenty minutes. We drop at Hyatt Regency London Stratford, Moxy London Stratford, Holiday Inn Express London Stratford, Roomzzz Aparthotel London Stratford and The Westbridge Hotel. Handy if you are in town for a fixture at the London Stadium or a show at the Copper Box.
London City Airport has its own DLR station directly outside the terminal, and it is genuinely useful. Canning Town is around five minutes, Bank is roughly twenty two. The catch is what happens either side. Stairs, platform changes, a walk at the far end, all with luggage. Trains stop at night and the Woolwich branch sees regular weekend engineering works. A hotel taxi removes every one of those steps. Terminal door to hotel door, bags in the boot, no interchange. We run twenty four hours a day, so a midnight landing gets the same service as a midday one.
Your driver waits inside the arrivals hall with a name board. You get their name, mobile number and vehicle details by text as soon as your flight lands. Waiting time is free for sixty minutes on international arrivals and thirty minutes on domestic, which covers baggage reclaim and passport control on a bad day.
